We all know how expensive designer fashion can be. A simple article of clothing can cost upwards of a couple hundred dollars at least. I have found some very helpful ways to maximize on the designer pieces in your wardrobe.
As a fashion enthusiast, I feel it is my job to pass on my knowledge and help other fashion oriented individuals get the most for their money when it comes to the wonderful world of designer fashion. Below you will find a list of 3 great ways to make the most of the existing articles of clothing in your designer wardrobe:
1. Mix and Match – Sure a designer outfit can look absolutely amazing and you’ll want to wear it everyday – but you can’t! Wearing the same thing all the time will take away from the uniqueness of your designer wardrobe. Simply mixing and matching different pairs of pants with the same shirt can completely change the look of an outfit. Likewise, changing your shirt can change the look even more. Don’t be afraid to separate your designer pieces, they weren’t made to be together.
1. Play Up Your Accessories – Believe it or not, designer accessories have the ability to make or break an outfit. They also have the ability to completely change the look of an outfit. For business, you may want to keep the accessories to a minimum but when you’re done work and heading to a social gathering, simply add a couple long necklaces, some bangles and a pair of hoop earrings and you’ll be surprised the difference it makes.
1. Sport a Layered Look – Sometimes, the more articles of clothing you wear, the more “put-together” your look becomes. This year, layering is a huge trend that actually maximizes the versatility within your wardrobe. 2 shirts worn separately offers 2 completely different looks but when worn together offers a third, completely unique look. Also, adding scarves and blouses can make for a great, ultra unique look as well.
These 3 simple tricks can really make a difference when it comes to making the most of clothing you have. In my humble opinion, it’s better to have 5 pieces of high quality, designer clothing and a couple designer handbags than 20 pieces of low quality clothing and cheap accessories. You get what you pay for! Hey, nobody ever said looking good was easy!
