Save Money with these 5 tips

Save Money with these 5 tips

1.Don’t cash that check just yet - If you just received your paycheck from your job and are thinking about heading to the bank to cash out, you might want to think again. Once you cash it, it’s more likely you are going to spend it. Most paychecks have 180 days before it can actually cancel itself, that‘s about 6 whole months! The benefits to doing this is, you have money but cant spend it, you can lose it and get it back by canceling the check and retaining a new one, you won’t feel tempted to spend it since it can’t fit in your wallet and most importantly, you are saving. So stash your checks and watch them pile up.

2.Bring food to work from home
- You don’t know how many times or should I say how much money I spent on food alone just because I forgot to bring some from home. It’s lunch time and I have to go out and buy some. I probably spend $5 average every time. A good lunch would consist of a salad, fruit, sandwich and water. Healthy yet, no money out of pocket.

3.Ride or walk, kick the gas - Either ride a bike, skateboard, rollerblades or even start walking to your destinations. Gasoline is just too much to pay already, you could be saving hundreds a month by just carpooling to school, ride a bike to work, or walk to your friends house if you use this simple and basic technique. Sometimes back to basics gives the best results.

4.Free 411 calls - The world where 411 calls cost money are a thing of the past. I’ll give you the 411 on free 411. Free services like 1-800-FREE411 or, my personal favorite, 1-800-GOOG-411 by Google are quickly becoming the frugal native to getting your information. Tips: Ironically, Google’s service doesn’t have any advertisements while 1-800-FREE411 does and doesn’t have better voice recognition than Google as well.

5.Switch to VIOP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) telephone services
- Get rid of your conventional telephone and it’s providers. Joining Voice Over IP services, like Vonage, you can save a butt load of money. I would like you to consider learning more on this topic, search the definition and ask about it. It’s been such a great native that telephone giants are seeing it as a huge threat to them.
